Facility and Training Environment
Fairfield Farm is purpose-built for producing modern sport horses with the foundation, management, and training required to succeed in today’s competitive market. From breeding and foaling through early development and progressive training, every stage is designed with long-term soundness, rideability, and performance in mind.

Located in Santa Ynez, California, the 20-acre facility operates as a fully integrated sport horse program where consistency, horsemanship, and professional management drive results. Horses raised at Fairfield benefit from a system that prioritizes correct development, both physically and mentally, to create confident, trainable young horses prepared for the next step in their careers. Each horse is evaluated throughout the program and only advanced as its individual physical development and mental capacity allow, ensuring a thoughtful, horse-specific approach that supports long-term success.

This means horses raised in a thoughtful, individualized program (not a production system) where every detail is designed to deliver quality, consistency, and long term success.

The 16,000 square foot barn includes oversized breeding stalls (25’ x 12’) alongside standard stalls, allowing for optimal management of broodmares, foals, and developing young horses. Dedicated stocks and handling areas support routine veterinary and reproductive care, ensuring each horse receives consistent, high-quality attention from the earliest stages.

Daily life at Fairfield emphasizes movement and natural development. Large group turnout, expansive paddocks, and a track system encourage soundness, strength, and socialization - key components in producing durable, well adjusted sport horses.

Two arenas and a round pen provide a structured environment for early training, groundwork, and flatwork. The program focuses on developing rideability, balance, and confidence, giving buyers horses that are not only talented, but straightforward and enjoyable to bring along.

Fairfield Farm is also ideally located near leading veterinary and reproductive centers, including Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center and Santa Lucia Farm, ensuring access to top-tier care and advanced reproductive support.
